At Solar House Australia, we’re not just about solar; we’re about delivering quality, reliability, and expertise that spans decades. Established in December 2003 in Sydney, Solar House Australia began with a simple mission: to provide top-notch solar installations.



Our founder, Gary McArdle, is a qualified electrical contractor with accreditation in solar installation, design, and battery systems, as well as a licence for air conditioning. Together with his son, Gary partnered with Solar Shop Australia, then the largest solar company in the country. Their hard work and reputation as the best installers allowed the company to grow from a single crew to six crews, servicing Sydney, Newcastle, and Victoria.



When the solar industry experienced a downturn in 2014, Solar House Australia adapted. Relocating to South East Queensland, we quickly became the installation company of choice for the Mark Group, one of Australia’s leading solar providers at the time. Managing four crews, we delivered excellence in every project until Mark Group was taken over by a larger national company approximately five years ago.



Today, Solar House Australia operates with a close-knit team, including Gary McArdle, a trusted installer, and an apprentice. Over the years, Gary has trained countless electricians and apprentices, many of whom have gone on to establish their own successful electrical contracting businesses. This legacy of skill and dedication is something we’re incredibly proud of.
